Cedar Gate’s standard data refresh interval is monthly, but we can also support twice per month, weekly, or daily processing as needed. We work with our clients and their data vendors to receive and process clean data files seamlessly, making reliable data available on the platform quickly.
The core data types required to stand up the analytics application are medical claims, pharmacy claims, and an eligibility file. Once the foundational data suppliers are in place, we can integrate additional data types such as biometrics, lab data, electronic medical records (EMR) encounters, health risk assessment (HRA) responses, program participation, disability, workers compensations, payroll, FSA/HSA, and more.
We can easily accommodate the ingestion of virtually any data type our clients desire to integrate. Today, we integrate over 40 different data types from over 600 different data suppliers, representing over 2,500 unique file layouts.
We do not utilize any subcontractors or contract with offshore locations to deliver our core products or services. However, we can integrate and make available some optional capabilities from premier third-party solution provider partners if clients choose to have them.
Cedar Gate hosts and stores all applications and data in the U.S. in Amazon Web Services (AWS) domestic data centers, our Cloud Service Provider (CSP). The CSP is responsible for the protection of backups at its data centers.
We follow industry standard cybersecurity policies and procedures for implementing controls pertaining to network, infrastructure, application, and databases. These controls comply with HIPPA and HITRUST standards. We maintain a set of information security policies aligned with HITRUST and obtained HITRUST CSF certification in April 2022. Cedar Gate also obtained SOC2 Type2 in November 2022. Our approach to maintaining data, information security, privacy and consent includes a series of redundant and overlapping physical, technical, and procedural barriers that act in concert to protect client data.
Our applications include a rich out-of-the-box library of over 100 standard reports and dashboards. All Cedar Gate curated reports and dashboards, along with client-developed custom reports and dashboards, are available for easy distribution to various groups and stakeholders with multiple customization options for distribution lists and timing.
We pride ourselves on our ability to enable clients with self-service reporting capabilities. Client users can easily modify many of the standard reports and dashboards without the need for custom development, SOWs, or additional costs. Our integrated custom/ad-hoc report building tools allow users to build reports as a table, chart, graph, tile/widget, or dashboard by choosing from a vast library of different visualizations.
The platform provides almost limitless flexibility for users to create custom ad-hoc content in our analytics applications, take our enriched data extracts and work with data in your own enterprise data warehouse to create custom content, work with the data in a cloud-based warehouse hosted by Cedar Gate, or any combination of the above.
All Cedar Gate curated reports and dashboards, along with client-developed custom reports and dashboards are available for automated scheduled generation and delivery. Client users can bundle specific reports and dashboards together and schedule them to run automatically on a specific date or on a specific refresh interval. Users can subscribe to various reporting packages and bundles. Once the software generates the bundle, the system will automatically send an email to the recipient with a link to the report bundle.
Cedar Gate offers our clients capabilities to analyze provider performance on a total–cost-of-care basis, including professional, acute, post-acute, and ancillary services costs for clinical conditions. Our application compares performance across a variety of benchmarks, metrics, and dimensions, and evaluates provider performance across population cohorts on a risk–adjusted basis. Our clients can identify improvement opportunities at a system, provider (facility, group, practice, individual physician), or patient level.
Clients can identify savings opportunities by comparing actual performance to the mean performance across the comparison cohort. We provide visibility to provider-level utilization metrics specific to the value-based care program in which providers (and their patients) participate. These metrics include utilization metrics specific to the contract group in which the members reside – including comparison to other providers servicing those same members – and patient-level utilization data provided to care teams to gain additional insights for health management.
Our end-to-end data, analytics, care, and payment platform is built on horizontally scalable cloud-based technologies. The primary architecture is a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that has a wide variety of shared services used throughout our software. Central to our solution is connectivity to data supplier sources, automated extract transform load (ETL) and file mapping engine (FME), and a comprehensive data scrub and enrichment process, which translates to high-quality data outputs.
Cedar Gate’s end-user interface applications all access the same data lake via live API interfaces. Our platform data sharing capabilities are extremely flexible. The platform is constructed to deliver raw or enriched data to end users through Cedar–Gate–developed dashboards, our extensive report library, deep query capabilities, and extracts or exports from our proprietary data lake.
The right solution for your value-based journey is only a click away. Our modular technology is quickly and easily integrated into current systems and complements existing IT investments so that we can grow with you.
