Mr. Snow is a nationally recognized healthcare CEO and has an industry-leading track record spanning a 36-year career in managed care running Pharmacy Benefit Managers, Health Plans, Hospitals and Physician Groups. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Cedar Gate Technologies, Inc. (Cedar Gate), a value-based care performance management company, which he founded in 2014 in partnership with GTCR, the oldest private equity firm in the United States.
Prior to CGT, Mr. Snow was the CEO of Medco Health Solutions where he was responsible for the company’s turnaround, more than doubling the company’s revenues, and he facilitated its strategic merger with Express Scripts in 2012. During his time at Medco, Mr. Snow was named as one of the “Best Performing CEOs in the World” by Harvard Business Review in 2010. Before joining Medco, Mr. Snow was the president and COO of Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he successfully turned the company around and took it public as WellChoice in 2002. Mr. Snow has also served in several other executive positions at Oxford Health Plans, Americhoice and American International Healthcare, to name a few.
Mr. Snow received his bachelor’s in economics from Bates College and his master’s in healthcare administration from Duke University Fuquas School of Business. He serves on several boards and is currently Chairman of the Board for Teledoc, Chairman of the Board for Duke University Fuquas School of Business Board of Visitors, Chairman of the Board for Student Affairs at Clemson University, and a member of the board for the Clemson Institute for Capitalism.
Mr. Galvin is a 30-plus year banking and healthcare information technology and operations veteran. As COO for Cedar Gate Technologies, Michael is committed to fostering a culture of transparency and accountability and creating business value in the form of customer satisfaction, financial performance and systems reliability.
His 23 years with Empire BlueCross BlueShield as a technology leader, combined with his decade of service at Medco and Express Scripts as a innovator and transformation leader, gives Michael a unique perspective on the challenges facing the healthcare industry and have armed him with the tools needed to achieve his vision for Cedar Gate Technologies as a leader on the technology and data information capabilities while also achieving operating excellence.
Michael received his bachelor’s in business administration from Manhattan College.
Mr. Shanahan has been in the healthcare industry for more than 30 years in both startup and Fortune 500 companies.
Brendan joined Cedar Gate in July 2015 as EVP & CFO. Most recently Brendan was vice president of budget and analytics at Emblem Health, an $8.1 billion revenue health insurer in New York City. Prior to Emblem, Brendan was the CFO of Medical Card Systems, Inc. a $1.2 billion revenue private equity-backed managed care company located in San Juan, PR.
In 2006, he co-founded HealthPlanOne, the nation's leading internet marketing and member acquisition company serving the healthcare and insurance industries. In the 1990’s, Brendan was vice president & controller for Oxford Health Plans, Inc., and helped with the IPO of Oxford. Prior to Oxford, Brendan was a Senior Audit Manager working in KPMG's NYC healthcare practice during the late 1980’s.
Brendan received his bachelor’s in business administration from The Citadel, and his master’s in business administration from Hofstra University, and is a CPA.
Ms. Karamchandani has 20+ years of experience working with healthcare organizations to ensure their success in the risk-based contracts in which they participate. She is responsible for Cedar Gate’s account management teams whom work alongside clients to identify and execute on financial, network, clinical and quality programs that result in revenue gains, MLR improvement and better quality and outcomes.
Prior to joining Cedar Gate, Ms. Karamchandani was the vice president of analytics and information management at Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), which includes the five Blue Cross & Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Montana. There, she led the development and execution of an advanced analytics strategy that enabled HCSC to respond to health reform, accelerate business insight delivery by 30%, engage in multiple new fee-for-value programs with providers, enter the Medicare Advantage market and advance consumer intelligence for the Retail Health business unit.
Prior to HCSC, Ms. Karamchandani was a leader at IBM in their healthcare and software divisions and at Blue Cross Blue Shield Association where she drove the transformation of their brand strategy. Ms. Karamchandani has a bachelor’s from the University of Illinois and her master’s from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Mr. McElmurry has more than 35 years’ experience providing healthcare information technology solutions to payers and providers. He currently leads Cedar Gate’s northern sales team where he is responsible for revenue and client growth. He brings a "customer first" approach that ensures alignment between client needs and product and service delivery.
Prior to joining Cedar Gate in 2016, he held senior sales executive management positions at SoftServe, Perot Systems and Symphony Services.
Bill has a bachelor’s from Oregon State University.
Mr. Dye has more than 30 years’ experience in accelerating performance for healthcare organizations. As the Chief Sales Officer for Cedar Gate’s southern region, Jamie is responsible for revenue and client growth.
Prior to Cedar Gate, Jamie served as the Chief Development Officer Global Healthcare Alliance (GHA), the bundled payment solutions provider acquired by Cedar Gate Technologies in late 2018. Prior to GHA, Mr. Dye was Chief Development Officer of MedSynergies (now Optum360 Ambulatory Services), a for-profit ambulatory services company focused on improving physician enterprise performance. Under Mr. Dye’s leadership MedSynergies grew its business from a local to national ambulatory services provider, resulting in the company’s strategic acquisition by Optum in 2014.
Mr. Dye’s prior experience also includes a 20-year tenure with Perot Systems helping to build the organization into a multi-billion-dollar market leader in healthcare services. Mr. Dye received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida and his master’s degree in health law from Nova Southeastern University.
Mr. Lassen brings a depth of knowledge and experience in financial healthcare administration. With more than 25 years in value-based reimbursement, Mr. Lassen directs and oversees the design and operation of value-based bundled payment programs and centers of excellence.
Mr. Lassen’s previous leadership experience includes serving as the Chief Knowledge Officer of Global Healthcare Alliance, the bundled payment solutions provider acquired by Cedar Gate Technologies in late 2018. He also served as the director of payor relations for Cardiovascular Care Providers (CVCP), assistant director of managed care and business development for Hermann Hospital in Houston and vice president of acquisitions for the Sizeler Companies.
Mr. Lassen earned his bachelor’s from Louisiana State University and his master’s in business administration from Tulane University and a master’s of public health from the University of Texas – School of Public Health. He is currently pursuing his doctorate at the University of Texas – School of Public Health in Houston.
Mr. Mahale has over 14 years of experience investing and growing healthcare companies. He joined Cedar Gate after starting a health care analytics platform focused on connecting patients to the optimal care. Mr. Mahale has investing experience across the healthcare spectrum including information technology, tech-enabled services, medical devices, and life sciences. He is passionate about supporting innovative companies that fundamentally improve how health care is delivered.
Mr. Mahale joined Cedar Gate Technologies in mid-2015. He is responsible for leading Cedar Gate’s Product Development and M&A efforts.
Prior to Cedar Gate, he worked at Altaris Capital Partners, a healthcare focused private equity firm. He was also an analyst at Deutsche Bank covering 26 companies in the Healthcare Providers and Facilities sectors and a member of the Global Healthcare Investment Banking team at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Mahale holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS degree from the Integrated Business and Engineering Honors Program at Lehigh University.
Dr. Henry DePhillips is experienced in the practice of medicine, medical management and health informatics. In addition to practicing family medicine early in his career, his experience includes serving as senior medical director for a major managed care company and as chief medical officer for several medical technology companies.
He is an expert on use of informatics to influence personal, clinical and system wide decision-making. He is passionate about the potential for technology to improve the quality of healthcare and cost of care at the system level as the US moves to value-based care payment models.
Prior to joining Cedar Gate, Henry was Chief Medical Officer at Teladoc. At Teladoc, Henry was responsible for the overall delivery of high-quality clinical care to Teladoc patients and the supervision and expansion of Teladoc’s physician network. Prior to Teladoc, Henry held leadership positions in healthcare consulting, health insurance and healthcare information technology. Former positions include senior medical director at Independence Blue Cross of Pennsylvania and chief medical officer at MEDecision, Medem, PDR Network and Audax Health. Henry was also the head of business development, North America, for McKinsey’s international Health Systems Institute.
Henry received his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Trinity College and his M.D. at Hahnemann University School of Medicine. He performed his residency in family and community medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware.
Formerly in private practice for 10 years, Henry remains board certified in family and community Medicine. As a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP), he has been recognized for his service in family medicine, leadership in the advancement of care and contributions to continuing professional development and medical education.
David Morris has over 30 years of operational and executive leadership experience at blue chip companies throughout the healthcare ecosystem.
David drives client success across the value-based healthcare landscape by addressing the technology and service needs of the Payer, Provider, Employer, Pharma and Retail markets. He serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for Citra Health Solutions with oversight of all commercial efforts, including Market Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Client Success Management.
Prior to joining Citra, David held key leadership roles as Chief Revenue Officer with Eliza Corporation (acquired by HMS Holdings), Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services with Bupa Health Dialog (acquired by Rite Aid), National Vice President of Healthcare for SAP America, IMS Health (acquired by IQVIA), Baxter and George Washington University (GWU) Medical Center.
David received his undergraduate degree from George Washington University’s School of Government and Business Administration and now resides in Boston, MA.
Paul Dominianni serves as the Chief Legal Officer for Cedar Gate, and also leads the company’s compliance efforts.
Paul has extensive experience in representing both providers and payors on a wide range of contractual, regulatory and risk management matters in all segments of the health care market. Paul’s experience includes senior legal positions with two Blue Cross/Blue Shield plans and several national managed care organizations. He brings an informed and customer focused orientation to his work.
Paul holds a BA from Syracuse University and a JD from the Boston University School of Law.
